Liberating OCD and Anxiety Therapy for Adults and Teenagers 16+

A young person with light skin, brown hair, and multiple earrings is resting their head on their hand outdoors, with their eyes closed, in a contemplative, anxious mood, stuck in their head with OCD thoughts.

If you’re living in Lynchburg— or anywhere in Virginia— and you’re feeling stuck in intrusive thoughts, “what if?” loops, constant anxiety, or doubt spirals, you’re in the right place.

I offer online OCD and anxiety therapy using Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a deeply affirming, neurodivergent-centered approach.

My work supports folks who want a therapist who truly understands their lived experience, including LGBTQIA+, Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, and other neurodivergent adults and teenagers 16+.

I work with adults and teenagers 16+ throughout Virginia who may need support navigating:

  • Generalized anxiety and chronic worry

  • Intrusive thoughts, doubt, and mental compulsions

  • Rumination, reassurance-seeking, analyzing, and internal checking

  • LGBTQIA+ identity stress or internalized pressure

How I Help: I-CBT + ACT for OCD and Anxiety

A young person with shoulder-length brown hair, sitting cross-legged on grass near a body of water, smiling at the camera. They are wearing a black and white floral dress with short sleeves, with mountains in the background under a cloudy sky.

Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) helps you understand how OCD doubt becomes activated and why certain situations feel threatening even when there’s no real danger. Instead of engaging with every intrusive thought, we shift focus to your reasoning process, reduce mental checking, and help you step out of the “What if?” mind trap. Many clients describe I-CBT as gentler and more intuitive than traditional ERP.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) teaches you how to relate differently to anxiety— without getting pulled into avoidance, self-judgment, or rigid coping strategies. You’ll learn to create space from intrusive thoughts, respond with compassion, and take values-based action even when anxiety shows up. Together, these approaches offer both structure and flexibility.
