Helping folks with trauma to build self-compassion,
get back to the
present moment,
and reconnect to
your values

You're exhausted from not only surviving the trauma, but reliving it over and over.

Maybe you’ve tried every “deep breathing technique” out there, yet the panic and numbness still hit. You feel disconnected from everything and everyone, unsure if you can ever trust again.

Isolation creeps in, and the questions get louder:
“What if I’m unlovable?”
“Why can’t I move on from these memories? What’s wrong with me?”

Maybe you’ve even tried therapy before— only to be met with providers who didn’t truly understand, leaving you feeling unseen and unheard.

You’re longing for a therapist who really gets it— someone who understands the weight of complex trauma and can hold space for your healing journey, not judge it.

There’s hope. Healing from C-PTSD is possible, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

You deserve care that honors your survival— and helps you move beyond it.

Whether you're:

  • Living with the impacts of childhood trauma, neglect, or abuse

  • Navigating the long shadows of relational or attachment wounds

  • Struggling with flashbacks, nightmares, or body memories that won’t release

  • Carrying shame, self-blame, or the belief that you’re “too broken” to heal

  • Or simply longing for a therapist who sees your strength as much as your pain—

You're welcome here.

Whether you’re in Lynchburg, VA or anywhere across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, or Vermont, you deserve therapy that truly sees and honors your whole self.

For trauma survivors, neurodivergent folks,
and those holding layered identities.

This space is especially affirming for:

  • Survivors of childhood trauma, relational trauma, and complex PTSD

  • Neurodivergent clients (including AuDHD, OCD, or dissociation) navigating trauma

  • Queer, trans, and non-binary folks carrying trauma in a world that too often misunderstands them

  • Anyone seeking a therapist who combines lived experience, clinical training, and deep respect for resilience

Therapy that gently meets you where you are.

Maybe you’ve worked with a therapist who didn’t get trauma— who pushed too fast, minimized your pain, or left you feeling like you were failing at healing. As a trauma-informed, neurodivergent, and queer therapist, I offer care rooted in lived experience, safety, and respect.

You won’t be asked to relive the worst moments before you’re ready. You won’t be judged for the ways you’ve survived. You won’t be told to “just move on.”

Instead, we’ll work together in a way that honors your survival— and makes space for your body to exhale, for trust to grow, and for healing to unfold at your pace.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Trauma can make you feel isolated, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. But therapy can be a place where you reclaim your voice, your body, and your story.

A place where survival begins to shift into healing.

Whenever you’re ready, care that honors every part of you is here— waiting to meet you just as you are.

Let’s begin, together!

FAQ

  • Do you ever feel like the past won’t loosen its grip on you— like no matter how much time passes, you’re still stuck in survival mode?

Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) can happen when you’ve lived through multiple traumatic experiences over time— what’s often called “complex trauma.” These experiences are usually overwhelming, deeply distressing, and often inescapable, leaving you feeling like you had no safe way out.

With C-PTSD, you may find yourself living with a constant sense of danger, avoiding reminders of what happened, or being pulled back into the pain through intrusive thoughts, nightmares, or flashbacks that feel like they’re happening all over again. On top of that, C-PTSD can bring even more challenges— like feeling disconnected from yourself, struggling to manage your emotions, carrying painful beliefs about who you are, and finding it hard to fully trust or connect with others.

If this sounds like your experience, please know this: you’re not broken. With the right support, you can feel safer in your own body, rebuild trust with yourself, and create a life that’s no longer ruled by the past.

  • Do you ever feel like your thoughts and feelings are running the show— keeping you stuck and holding you back from the life you want?

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a research-backed approach that can help you build a different relationship with your inner world. Instead of fighting or avoiding painful thoughts and feelings— a struggle that’s especially common with trauma and C-PTSD— ACT teaches you how to make space for them, so they no longer control you.

Through ACT, you’ll practice staying present, accepting discomfort when it arises, and taking actions that align with what truly matters to you. Bit by bit, you can begin to reclaim your life and move toward a future that feels more free, meaningful, and your own.

Healing is possible, and you don’t have to stay stuck.

  • Do you ever feel like the past still has a hold on you, making it hard to feel present or live the life you want?

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) offers practical tools to help you loosen that grip. ACT uses six key principles to support healing: staying grounded in the present moment, practicing acceptance of painful emotions, seeing your thoughts as just thoughts rather than absolute truths (defusion), connecting with your observing self (self-as-context), clarifying what truly matters to you (values), and taking meaningful steps toward that life (committed action).

With ACT, you can learn to face your inner world with greater compassion and flexibility, so painful memories and emotions no longer hold all the power. Over time, this approach helps you reconnect with your values, strengthen your sense of self, and create a life that feels more like your own.

You can find freedom in the present and take back your life, one step at a time.
